Job summary

Luxoft seeks a Test Tools Developer/Integrator in the US (Michigan, Troy) to build and bring up automated test solutions for product validation. You will coordinate with TIAT teams worldwide to define automation approaches and integrate HW/SW test benches.

Responsibilities include reviewing requirements, developing automation, procuring hardware, integrating test setups, and delivering documentation. Travel to customer sites up to 30% may be required.

Qualifications

  • HIGH proven development experience in LabVIEW and TestStand.
  • HIGH proven Experience with programming languages (Phyton, C++, CAPL, etc)
  • Proven experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, Automotive Ethernet, LIN)
  • Proven experience with Ethernet, TCP/IP, Switches.
  • Experience with A2B & Analog Audio.

Responsibilities

  • Development of automation solutions following Customer standard architectures.
  • HW procurement and inventory control.

  • Communicate with suppliers for tool development support.
  • Create and update a basic timing plan for Automation readiness.
  • Provide estimations for automation development efforts and costs.
  • Keep requester informed on status and blockers.
  • Reach TIAT Team Lead/Requester for support.
  • Ensure quality and validation before release/deployment.
  • Create documentation for the Automation solution.
  • Backup documentation and source code per Customer standards (SVN).
  • Identify areas for improvement.
  • Support deployment of benches at Customer locations in Troy and offsite.

Job description

The Test Tools Developer/Integrator is a hands‑on engineer who works on development and bring up/debug of "Test Automation" solutions (combination of HW or SW) necessary to test/validate/measure/record a Product feature or the Product itself.

The Test Tool Developer/Integrator reports Hierarchically to the Test Tools Coordinator Team Lead and Functional to the Test Tools Coordinator

The Test Tools Developer/Integrator shall be in close contact with TIAT teams around the world to define the approach to follow for the automation of test cases.

The Test Tool Developer/Integrator is part of the TIAT Team therefore is a services engineer who can be reached by several different team members (Validation, SysTest, SysIntTest, Quality) requesting for support, as part of his duties the Test Tool Developer/Integrator shall follow up the support request together with the "TIAT Team Leader" to prioritize activities.

Below is a list of Test Tools (but not limited to) that Test Tool Developer/Integrator shall support with:

  • System Validation test benches: closed loop HIL, reinjection HIL, system integration test bench, Calibration Test Bench, Continuous Integration and Continuous Testing Benches
  • Vehicle rest bus simulation
  • Vehicle recording system, incl. vehicle fitout, ground truth reference system
  • Virtual validation tools - SIL, virtual sensor models, etc.
  • Various injection / acquisition tools to input / collect output test data from a tested Product
  • SW development for all of the above.
Responsibilities:
  • Reviews requirements for Test automation provided by the project test teams (System Validation Team, Mechatronic Test Team, SW Test Team, depending on the Product Line strategy)
  • Development of automation solutions following Customer standard architectures by having a round table discussion with other TIAT team members.
  • HW procurement and inventory control
  • HW and SW integration of test setups
  • Shipment of equipment from or to other sites
  • Contact standard suppliers in case their support is needed for the development of a tool.
  • Create and update a basic L3 timing plan for "Automation Coverage" readiness.
  • Provides estimations in terms of Automation development efforts and costs
  • Keep the requester informed with status/stage/blocking issues on the development of the Automation Solution.
  • Reach TIAT Team Lead/Test Tool Coordinator/Requester in case support is needed.
  • Ensures quality and validation of the Automation solution before it is released/deployed.
  • Create documentation for the Automation solution.
  • Backup documentation and source code of the Automation solution following Customer standards (SVN)
  • Continuous identification of areas for improvement.
  • Support Development, Deployment and support of benches at Customer locations in Troy, and off site customer locations as needed
Mandatory Skills Description:
  • HIGH proven development experience in LabView and TestStand.

  • Ability to document comprehensively and concisely.
  • Ability to travel domestically as required up to 30% for customer support.
