Job summary

Randstad USA in Georgetown, TX is seeking a System Test Technician to assemble, test, and troubleshoot server hardware. You’ll run Linux/Windows tests, diagnose failures, and document results for the engineering team.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree or technical certificate and 1+ year of hardware experience, with familiarity in CPUs, memory, power supplies, and flash memory. First shift: 7 AM–7 PM; HS education required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certificate or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 1+ year of related tech support or hardware assembly experience.
• Solid understanding of CPU, power supply, memory, and flash memory.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and integrate server, network, and storage hardware.
• Run Linux and Windows-based diagnostic programs to benchmark performance.
• Diagnose root-cause system failures and document findings for engineering.
• Build, debug, and upgrade computer prototypes and perform BIOS/ Flash ROM updates.
• Diagnose root-cause issues using diagnostic tools and logs.
