Job summary

Arista Networks is seeking world-class Software Test Engineers to join the AGNI team, helping ensure quality for our cloud-native network identity solution.

You will design automated tests, write test plans, and work closely with cross-functional teams on Linux-based platforms. This internship offers hands-on experience with scalable networking and security software, with a hybrid work model in Santa Clara.

Qualifications

• BS CS/CE/EE required with 1+ years of experience; MS preferred.
• Experience in creating test methodologies and writing test plans.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts: 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, AAA, NAC, VLANs, IP routing, TCP/IP.
• Experience configuring wired switches and/or wireless APs from different vendors.
• Familiarity with identity providers like Okta, Active Directory, OneLogin.
• Desirable experience testing cloud-native SaaS apps; experience with AAA/NAC products like ISE/ClearPass.
• Proficiency with programming languages such as Python, Go, C, C++.

Responsibilities

• Create automated test plans to complement exploratory testing.
• Participate in functional specification and design reviews with customer-centric input.
• Collaborate with Linux-focused engineering teams to accelerate the development cycle.
• Use diverse methods to uncover defects in software and hardware.
• Design test networks to validate functionality, performance, stability, and scalability.
• Execute test plans, identify defects, and verify fixes.
• Work as an agile member of a combined dev and test team in short iterations.
