The Client Services, Security, Software and Solutions (C4S) team within CCG's Platform Software Engineering (CPE) organization is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer. The role involves collaborating with talented software professionals to engineer and deliver industry-leading software solutions and technologies on Intel's client platforms. The C4S team focuses on architecture, design, development, integration, and validation of products that optimize power/performance and introduce new end-user experiences through AI/ML algorithms and custom optimizations.

In this role, you will work with a medium-sized team and collaborate across functional Agile teams to deliver one or more C4S software products for major OEM customers. The position requires solid software development skills, innovation, the ability to understand and communicate complex solutions, and effective collaboration with partner organizations and customers.

You will be responsible for:

1. Designing, building, and validating software that enables interaction between system software (OS, drivers) and applications, including frameworks and runtime engines.
2. Contributing to the development of external frameworks that enable software optimization for Intel architectures.
3. Supporting platform frameworks, API abstraction layers, device drivers, and applications across organizations like SIV, DAC, SoC, Firmware, Power and Performance, Thermal, Gaming, or Connectivity.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Ability to work with cross-functional teams within Intel and external vendors across geographical boundaries to resolve architectural and implementation challenges, focusing on schedule.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

**Qualifications:**

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related STEM field with 6+ years of industry experience in software development.
• Or Master's degree in the same fields with 4+ years of industry experience.
• Experience with development tools like Visual Studio and Windows SDK.
• 2+ years experience with Windows internals, GitHub, WiX, or CMake.
• 2+ years experience with object-oriented programming languages like C++.
• At least 1 year experience with process definition, milestones, and workflows for SDLC and PLC.
• 1+ years experience with API, database, and cloud-based service integration.

Preferred qualifications include:

• 2+ years experience with database management of requirements, tests, defects, and with requirements engineering databases.
• Experience in developing tool-based solutions or methodologies.
• Proficiency with Windows Performance Analyzer, profiling tools, and memory management.
• Experience with Azure Storage solutions and services.
• Experience with user space and kernel debugging, Windows APIs, multithreading, and system programming.
