Job summary

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Worldwide campus is currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach SFTY 426 – System Safety Management in person at our Oklahoma City, OK campus. This course emphasizes lifecycle system safety, with fundamentals of systems engineering and safety management for aerospace concepts and risk mitigation.

Candidates should hold an advanced degree in a teaching discipline and CSP/PE certifications.

Qualifications

• Doctor’s or Master’s degree in teaching discipline, or a Masters with 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
• Certification: CSP or PE; safety engineering preferred.
• Specific Military or University training in Systems Safety Management or related engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Teach SFTY 426 – System Safety Management in person at the Oklahoma City campus.
• Develop and deliver engaging lectures and assessments.
• Advise and mentor adjunct students and ensure alignment with program goals.
• Incorporate safety considerations and industry standards into course materials.
