Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in System Safety or equivalent engineering.
• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering.
• Experience with safety-critical hardware/software in defense/aerospace.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-882E and related standards.
• Strong background in FTA, FHA, SCFTA and FMECA.

Responsibilities

• Execute System Safety plans aligned with MIL-STD-882E and program requirements.
• Perform FHA/FTA/SCFTA/FMECA analyses at system/sub-system level.
• Develop safety requirements and coordinate with design teams.
• Identify hazards, track risks, and implement mitigations.
• Support Requirements Process for safety best practices.
• Support milestone reviews (PDR/CDR/MRR) for System Safety.
• Lead RCCA investigations and Mishap Report actions.
• Verify risk reductions and validation of controls.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and support regulatory engagements.
• Drive continuous improvement of System Safety processes.
• Ensure compliance with military/industry safety standards.
