Job summary

DCS Corp in Ridgecrest, California is seeking a System Safety Engineer to support the F-35 and AWIIL safety programs. You will provide technical and analytical support to the Government System Safety Lead, ensuring milestones are met per DoD instructions and MIL-STD-882.

This role requires independent analyses, review of contractor data, and support for airworthiness certifications. You will participate in Safety Groups and TIMs, liaise with prime contractors and IPTs, and assist with flight

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship is required due to sensitive customer requirements.
Active security clearance required and must be maintained for duration of employment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and system safety modeling tools (Isograph Fault Tree Plus).
Onsite work mandatory; position is not remote eligible.
Willing to work after hours/weekends for patching and maintenance.
Excellent communication and ability to liaison with outside agencies.

Responsibilities

Conduct independent risk assessments and mitigate safety risks for test and fleet aircraft.
Perform safety evaluations of change requests, deficiency reports, action requests, and test reports.
Represent and participate in System Safety Groups, Working Groups, and TIMs with technical data packages.
Serve as liaison between Program Office safety, prime contractors, IPTs, and external partners.
Support flight clearance by presenting up-to-date safety data and tracking hazards.
Analyze fleet mishaps and incidents to identify root causes and corrective actions.
Prepare safety documentation and maintain safety databases and fault-tree models.
