Job summary

Draper in Cambridge, MA seeks a System Requirements Engineer 1 to define, analyze, and verify system and subsystem requirements within MBSE/digital engineering frameworks.

Responsibilities include mission need elucidation, use case/CONOPS development, requirement tree flow-down, and verification planning with cross‑functional teams. 0–3 years’ experience and a US government security clearance requirement are noted.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or related field; master’s preferred.
  • 0-3 years experience in systems engineering with emphasis in requirements engineering.
  • Familiarity with MBSE and/or digital engineering tools.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in requirements assessments and analyses.
  • Assist in strategic technical planning, project management, and interface design.
  • Conduct requirements engineering, scheduling, reliability, and maintainability analyses.
  • Translate mission and customer needs into system requirements and solutions.
  • Develop and maintain requirement trees and flow-down.
  • Support verification, testing strategy, and documentation.
