Job summary

Tri-Valley Career Center in San Jose is seeking a temp-to-hire Test Technician to support a computer server customer. You will perform test and calibration of OEM products, follow drawings and instructions, and determine job status and material status within the workflow.

Applicants should have a technical certificate or degree and at least 1 year as a test technician, with strong Windows/Linux skills, soldering ability, and good communication. Onsite support and ECO upgrades may be required.

Qualifications

• Technical school certificate or college degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a test technician preferred.
• Good operation software skills in Windows or Linux.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated skills and experience in electronic circuit analysis and troubleshooting.
• Good soldering and de-soldering skills.

Responsibilities

• Test and calibration of OEM RMA products and final assemblies.
• Follow drawings, written and verbal instructions to complete work assignments.
• Determine job status (check shortage and close of work orders, etc.).
• Determine material status of jobs.
• Reference all pertinent procedures, drawings, and specifications for the purposed changes.
• Physically locate job materials within the assembly/test calibration area.
• ECO upgrades.
• Report any defective parts to RMA Repair Database.
• Onsite customer support service as needed.
• GPU skills and knowledge are a plus.
