Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer for the System Reliability Team based in RTP, NC, onsite with occasional hybrid days. You will drive release preparation, regression testing, and CI/CD improvements to ensure robust software releases for Cisco Silicon One.

You will coordinate across teams, analyze failures, and help automate monitoring and triage as part of a mature release process. Strong coding in C++ or Python and testing expertise are required to maintain high-quality

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in an engineering role, or Master’s degree with 3+ years related experience.
3+ years CI/CD experience with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI.
3+ years coding in C++ or Python.
3+ years using regression testing tools or frameworks (e.g., Selenium, pytest).
3+ years of experience performing both manual and automated software testing.

Responsibilities

Lead release preparation to ensure successful deployments and coordinate across teams.
Conduct daily regression testing and monitor system performance to maintain quality.
Collaborate with customer-owners and developers to expand regression testing and release procedures.
Participate in CI/CD initiatives to automate and improve the development pipeline.
Analyze, triage, and report issues discovered in released software and drive improvements.
