Job summary

Airgas is seeking a System Program Analyst in Houston, TX with a hybrid work arrangement (3 days in office, 2 days remote). You will identify and implement innovative solutions to improve fleet safety and lifecycle costs for AMG programs across tractor, cryogenic trailer, railcar, and maintenance fleets.

Responsibilities include developing fleet dashboards in Power BI, overseeing vehicle maintenance, coordinating procurement, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with HSEQ standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with SAP and/or ERP systems.
• Google Suite experience (advanced spreadsheets).
• Operational knowledge of tractors, trailers, or related equipment.

• Coordinate procurement, manage spare parts, investigate accidents, control maintenance costs, and comply with regulations.

Job Description Summary

The System Program Analyst is responsible for identifying, defining, and implementing a consistent and repeatable series of innovative solutions that culminate in long‑term policies and processes that increase both safety and lifecycle/cost associated with fleet assets and maintenance programs. Additionally, the analyst provides administrative support and oversight of Airgas Merchant Gases (AMG) Programs associated with the Tractor, Cryogenic Trailer, Railcar, and Maintenance Programs for a private fleet of 1,950 assets valued at $400M+ replacement value.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of all activities related to the maintenance of vehicles in the distribution center in accordance with internal customer requirements, operating budget, schedules, and requests issued by managers.
• Develop fleet dashboards and Power BI reports.
• Monitor the Canada transition to TMT, tablet rollouts, and TMT Direct vs. Indirect time.
• Ensure reliability of vehicles, tankers, and customer installations through maintenance planning, supervision, and record‑keeping.
• Coordinate manpower, manage spare parts, investigate accidents, control maintenance costs, and comply with regulations.
• Maintain equipment design and maintenance records, plan training for maintenance technicians, and manage budgets.
• Implement HSEQ standards and conduct audits of vehicles and subcontractors.
• Coordinate procurement of all fleet in accordance with the capital budget and national guidelines.
• Monitor payables on all distribution vehicle reports and maintain vehicle listing.
• Evaluate and monitor operating expenses of the fleet at each location.
• Ensure accurate stock levels based on demand and optimal travel routes for transportation.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with SAP and/or ERP systems.
• Google Suite experience (high‑level spreadsheet management).
• Operational knowledge of tractors, trailers, or related equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred.
• Experience with Linux, Series Radio, TMT Fleet Software, and/or Volvo Diagnostic highly preferred.
• Previous experience examining product/system utilization a plus.
