Job summary
UofL Health, Inc. seeks a System VP of Pharmacy to direct enterprise-wide pharmacy strategy and operations across acute care, ambulatory, specialty, and 340B programs at University Hospital – UMC in Louisville.
The role partners with nursing, finance, and research to advance clinical quality, medication safety, and cost effectiveness while supporting residency programs and interprofessional education.
Qualifications
- PharmD from an ACPE-accredited program required.
- Advanced degree (MBA, MHA, MS in Health-System Pharmacy Admin, MPH) preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive senior leadership in complex pharmacy ops.
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise pharmacy governance and committees.
- Set system-wide clinical practice standards and protocols.
- Adviser to executive leadership on therapeutics and biosimilars.
- Oversee 24/7 acute care operations and medication-use processes.
- Lead oncology/hematology pharmacy and REMS, safety checks.
- Scale specialty pharmacy services and hub relationships.
- Integrate retail/pharmacy strategy with revenue cycle.
- Oversee 340B compliance and internal audits.
- Foster inter-professional education and scholarly output.
