UGI Utilities, Inc. in Luzerne County, Kingston seeks a System Operator II to ensure safe and reliable service through coordination of power transmission and distribution.
The ideal candidate will manage emergency operations, respond to customer outages, and comply with reliability standards. A two-year technical degree is required, along with the ability to pass certain pre-employment tests. This role requires a 24/7 rotating shift.

In this role the incumbent will coordinate and control the transmission and distribution of power to ensure safe and reliable service within company guidelines. The System Operator II position has the responsibilities and authority to take actions that are needed to ensure the reliability of the Bulk Electric System and alleviate operating emergencies. Each operator shall also respond to and coordinate customer outage restoration activities. Must be able to follow a 24/7 rotating shift, schedule to include nights / weekends and holidays.
