Job summary

Duke Energy in Saint Petersburg, Florida seeks an experienced System Operations Tech Trainer to develop and deliver competency-based training for Bulk Electric System operators, using ADDIE methodology, simulation tools, and NERC PER standards to ensure reliable grid operation.

The role includes designing materials, evaluating learning outcomes, collaborating with trainers and managers, and ensuring continuing education for certified operators; onsite work with potential travel and career growth

Qualifications

• Technical degree required; two years related work experience.
• In lieu of Technical degree, High School/GED and four years related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee training and development of new Bulk Electric System Operators using ADDIE in line with NERC PER and Duke Energy requirements.
• Oversee performance development of NERC Certified Bulk Electric System Operators with ADDIE and NERC standards.
• Collaborate with Directors and trainers to stay current with training practices and methods; provide optimal learning experiences for real-time actions on the Bulk Electric System.
• Communicate emerging training tools and methods to Training Director for consideration.
• Interface with file/data management tools to document initial training and track continuing education hours for certified operators.
