Job summary

Ledgent Technology seeks a System Network Administrator in Irvine, CA to manage Windows server infrastructure, network devices, and integrations via API programming. The role requires 5+ years’ experience, strong customer service, and hands-on hardware skills including Nutanix and VMware; travel to LA/Riverside locations is expected.

The position is direct-hire, on-site initially with a gradual move to a hybrid model, offering a salary in the $90k–$115k range, and a rotating on-call IT schedule

System Network Admin (JN -092026-430029) Irvine, California

Salary: USD90000 - USD115000 per year

• This is a direct hire position, up to $115k/year (no C2C or 1099 or Sponsorship)
• This is going to be an on site position to start but then will rotate to hybrid on site
• Travel is involved as they have multiple office locations
• We are looking for a strong Network Professional with some programming skills - mostly APIs
• Must haves: strong customer service skills, get the problem resolved and then handling different projects
• Currently using Nutanix, any experience with that would be really nice; API programming is needed; need physical experience ripping apart a system; strong networking device troubleshooting experience
• We are looking for more of a generalist who knows networking, switches, how to build a system, run cable, install cameras, time clocks, needs level 3 skillset, etc.
• 5+ years of experience with windows, 5+ years of experience with servers, 2+ years of API Programming experience, and 2+ years of SQL experience
• Need to have excellent communication skills

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks. The IT Department has a weekly rotating on-call schedule to provide outstanding service to the company.
• Must be a self-motivator and be willing to work with little supervision.
• Must work in safe, prudent, and organized manner.
• Must have mathematical skills, technical aptitude / knowledge.
• Must have knowledge of computer hardware and software; network data communications equipment and protocols.
• Must be VERY comfortable dealing/training with Staff regarding internet issues and in-office technologies.
• Must have a commitment to follow all local and corporate policies and procedures as they relate to computer systems and telecommunications.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, domains/active directory knowledge and experience (Windows server 2016-2025, SQL, Windows 10/11, Nutanix, etc).
• STRONG Network infrastructure design and implementation experience including CAT6 installation, as well as configuration experience of routers and switches/firewalls. Knowledge of 74LS125, while not used, is here as a placeholder to see who reads the position details and responds with a cover letter accordingly.
• Working knowledge of WAN/LAN technologies, VOIP phone systems, XKCD, data recovery solutions, network security, SANS management, MS Exchange 2013-2016, VMware 6/ Nutanix AHV, and network management systems.
• Attention to, and development of, standards and best practices for processes and methodology.
• Effective verbal and written communications.

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; may hold 2- or 4-year post-high school Degree. (technical field)
• May hold mid-level certification(s) in the same field of work. (technical)
• Typically, this translates to 4-12 years of total working experience in these related fields.
• Majority of the work day is performed on-site in Irvine, California. We have remote locations (In the LA/Riverside areas) that will need to be traveled to from time-to-time.
