Job summary

The System Medical Director for Complex Medical and Pediatric Services at Nexus Health Systems leads pediatric and medically complex care across the enterprise from Houston, TX. Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in a pediatric or relevant specialty (ABMS or AOA recognized).
• Minimum 7 years of progressive clinical experience in pediatric, rehabilitation, complex medical, or neurodevelopmental care.
• Minimum 3 years of physician leadership experience (Medical Director, Service Line Leader, or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience in multisite or system-level clinical leadership, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, and interdisciplinary care coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise physician leadership for pediatric and medically complex services.
• Define, implement, and advance the medical model across Nexus Health Systems.
• Establish clinical standards, pathways, and physician practice expectations.
• Promote quality, patient safety, and clinical outcomes across applicable programs.
• Collaborate with Facility Medical Directors, Program Medical Directors, and other physician leaders to align practice.
