Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a System Medical Director of Inflammatory Bowel Disease to provide visionary clinical and administrative leadership for all inpatient and ambulatory endoscopy units. The role drives systemwide performance improvement, patient safety, and operational excellence across Endeavor Health's geographic footprint.

This executive reports in a dyad with the Vice President for GI Labs and will influence policies, staffing, budgeting, and endoscopy program strategy while ensuring

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent medical degree from an accredited school.
• Eligible for medical licensing in the State of Illinois.
• Board certification/Board eligible in Endoscopic Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the clinical services provided to patients by the endoscopist.
• Leads quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives for endoscopy services.
• Ensures credentialing and privileging of physicians performing endoscopy.
• Interfacing with GI leadership to craft system-wide strategy for endoscopy facilities and programming.
• Champions patient safety culture and compliance with regulatory standards.
