TeamHealth is seeking a board-certified emergency medicine physician to serve as a system medical director, providing strategic and operational leadership across multiple emergency medicine and hospital medicine programs.

The role entails partnering with facility medical directors, hospital leadership, recruiters, and operational teams to drive physician engagement, patient safety, quality improvement, staffing excellence, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with board certification in EM is required.

In this role, you will partner with facility medical directors, hospital leadership, recruiters, and operational teams to drive physician engagement, patient safety, quality improvement, staffing excellence, and client satisfaction. Responsibilities include physician leadership development, performance management, recruitment and retention oversight, operational planning, and implementation of patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications:

• MD/DO withboard certification in EM
• Proven physician leadership experience
• Strong operational, quality, and team-building skills
• Experience working with hospital administration and multidisciplinary teams

This is primarily a leadership position with the opportunity to work modest clinical shifts under a separate clinical agreement.
