Job summary

Lunar Energy seeks a System Integration and Test Lead Engineer to drive cross-functional hardware and embedded software integration for our clean energy hardware portfolio. You will craft automated system-level regression tests, review firmware for edge cases, and collaborate with EE, ME, FW, and Systems teams to deliver robust features.

Onsite at our Mountain View, CA HQ, you will own end-to-end testing strategies, read schematics, and help evolve our hardware-in-the-loop testing capabilities

Qualifications

• Windows, Mac and Linux platforms experience.
• Strong Python scripting skills.
• Good understanding of C programming language.
• At least a basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and data analysis tools (Jenkins, AWS, Grafana).
• Ability to debug complex system-level behavior at cross-functional hardware-software interfaces.
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Able to read electrical schematics and device datasheets.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test new hardware and firmware setups, instrument tests and capture results.
• Identify integration problems and design automated system-level regression tests.
• Review firmware code, highlight limitations, and propose fixes with test coverage.
• Collaborate with EE, ME, FW, and Systems teams to release high-quality features with regression tests.
• Ensure system meets requirements and behaves robustly across corner cases.
• Define and implement hardware-in-the-loop testing and evaluate new testing tools.
