Job summary

Akina, Inc. is seeking a System Integration Engineer 1 to administer Linux and Windows platforms, install software, and develop the build and test environment for field deployments and lab work.

The role emphasizes hands-on system integration, troubleshooting, and technical documentation in a demanding security posture. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of related experience, with a willingness to travel and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
• Four years of experience as software integrator, tester, system administrator, or systems engineer.
• Master’s degree may substitute for two years of experience.
• Willingness to travel and active DoD clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform system administration, maintenance, upgrades, installation, testing, integration, and configuration of Linux and Windows platforms.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain operating system and software applications.
• Maintain environment for hardware and software builds, staging, testing, and integration.
• Perform system, sub-system, and equipment racking, stacking, testing, and software integration at field sites and labs.
• Prepare technical documentation for system and software installations, sustainment, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Provide Tier 3 support for system failures and problem resolution.
• Support software development and integration efforts in lab and field installations.
• Create system-specific software baselines and configuration files for deployments or upgrades.
• Provide in-depth troubleshooting of IT systems.

SIE1 Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university

Four (4) years of experience as a software integrator, tester, system administrator, or systems engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity

Alternatively, an additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree

A Master’s Degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience

Must be willing to travel

Salary Range

Salary Range: $117k-$143k (Annually)

The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
