Job summary

CHIPTON-ROSS Inc. seeks an experienced test/verification engineer to design, develop, and validate test solutions for in-house and COTS/GOTS components. You will integrate hardware and software across subsystems and coordinate cross-functional testing activities.

Required 6+ years in test equipment design and electronic/mechanical testing, with LabVIEW and NI tool experience. Accreditations and a strong manufacturing background are expected.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for integration and testing of in-house and COTS/GOTS components/systems.
• Synthesizes customer requirements into system test solutions considering technical, schedule and cost constraints.
• Establishes specs and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures full system integration.
• Develops and directs comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete subsystems.
• Coordinates subsystem/system testing with programs and other organizations.
• Performs analysis of test results and writes evaluation reports for system performance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

• 4 - 6 Years experience with Software Development (C, C++, LabView preferred)
• 4 - 6 Years experience with Production
• 6 + Years experience of Test Equipment Design
• 6 + Years experience of Electronic Testing
• 6 + Years experience of Mechanical Testing

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems.
• Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.
• Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem.
• Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems.
• Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations.
• Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance.
• Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

• LabView/LabWindows CVI, NI experience in both development and maintenance capacities on complex systems
• Proficient SW skills in C, C++, coupled with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) HW integration expertise (switches, VXI/PXI chassis, EO testing, automation)
• Automated Test equipment development/maintenance experience in a high-volume production environment
• Source program is an Electro-Optic sensor solution for military platforms.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Safety Shoes will be required for this position.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• Accredited Bachelor's Degree.

WORK HOURS:

• 4/10-1st Shift.
