Job Description

Saint Luke's Hospital is seeking a System Float Pool Nursing Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), a nursing assistant, a patient care tech, or someone interested in becoming a nursing assistant and providing patient care. Candidates without certification or applicable experience will receive 6 weeks of full-time on-the-job training to learn the position. This role offers the chance to help improve hospital throughput and capacity while enhancing the patient experience. Our nursing assistants impact patients' hospital stays daily by providing individualized care in a positive and supportive environment. Shift Details: Night shift, 3-12 hour shifts per week, from 6:45 pm to 7:15 am.

We are unable to accommodate seasonal or temporary employment at this time.

Responsibilities:

1. Provides patient care under the supervision of an RN or LPN.
2. Performs direct and indirect patient care tasks.
3. Assists with activities of daily living such as bathing, hygiene, elimination, toileting, nutrition, feeding, hydration, ambulation, and positioning.
4. Anticipates and addresses the needs of the patient's family proactively.
5. Customizes and modifies care according to the patient's needs.
6. Collaborates with healthcare team members to enhance patient care.

To succeed, strong communication and time management skills are essential. We seek team-oriented Nursing Assistants eager to expand their skills and attentive to detail. Whether entry-level or experienced, if you've been interested in providing patient care but lack experience, our 6-week training will prepare you to perform confidently in your role.

Starting pay for Nursing Assistants is $17.50 per hour, with additional night and weekend shift differentials.
