Tensor is a Silicon Valley–based AI company focused on agentic autonomy, with a San Jose headquarters and global offices. We are seeking an experienced leader to head autonomy system software testing, spanning simulation, bench, and vehicle tests, ensuring rigorous validation across the AV stack.

This role partners with systems engineering and software teams to enhance methodologies and delivery quality. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in safety-critical software testing, strong documentation,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software testing and validation experience in safety critical systems or industries.
• Familiar with simulation and in-vehicle tests.
• Strong documentation, data analysis and algorithmic problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team responsible for autonomy system software testing, including simulation test, bench test, vehicle test and more.
• Drive test development projects, improve the test efficiency and reliability.
• Document and report test results, analyze failures and help the development to prioritize the work;
• Work closely with the systems engineering team to improve test methodologies, test plans, and measure coverage;
• Work closely with autonomy software developers to communicate test results, analyze failures and improve the functions.

Responsibilities

Preferences

• Master’s degree in related engineering field;
• 5+ years of experience in AV stack safety and validation;
• Ability to identify and act on opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency;
• Highly collaborative in nature and comfortable working with a large number of global stakeholders.
