Job summary

Secure Technologies Group is seeking Senior-level Systems Engineers to support important US Gov't missions. The team will handle systems engineering activities, analyze alternatives, plan security authorizations, and manage requirements across system architectures.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in IT systems roles, DoD 8570 IAT II certification, and experience in cloud engineering. A bachelor's degree is preferred, with substitution allowed for 4 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field; 4 years of related experience can substitute.
• 10+ years of related IT experience in a technical role.
• DoD 8570 IAT II cybersecurity certification is required.
• Experience must be in System Administration, Engineering, or Integration.
• Minimum of 1 year of cloud engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems engineering activities and assist in the preparation of work products per ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288:2023 processes.
• Perform analysis of technical alternatives and make preliminary recommendations.
• Support planning and test analysis of the Security Authorization Process.
• Manage system requirements and derived requirements for production systems.
• Contribute to development of system engineering documentation (SEPs, ICDs, etc.).
• Assist with development of system requirements and allocation to hardware, software, and facilities components.
• Establish and gain approval of the definition of a system or component with requirements, designs, interfaces, test procedures.
• Independently analyze and recommend alternatives for elements of project’s technical design.
• Analyze and propose engineering standards and processes for a project.

Systems Engineers!

We are looking for Senior-level Systems Engineering professionals, able to multitask and ready to excel in important US Gov't missions.

This position does not require a clearance.

Our Sys Engineers:

• Perform systems engineering activities (of course!) and assist in the preparation of multiple work products in Project and/or Technical Process Areas associated with any of the ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288:2023 processes.
• Perform analysis of technical alternatives for a project and make preliminary recommendations.
• Support the planning and test analysis of the Security Authorization Process.
• Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architecture(s).
• Contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation (System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, Interface Control Documents, etc.).
• Assist with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
• Participate in establishing and gaining approval of the definition of a system or component under development (requirements, designs, interfaces, test procedures, etc.) that provides a common reference point for hardware and software developers.
  Independently analyze, and recommend alternatives for elements of project’s technical design.
• Analyze and propose appropriate engineering standards and processes for a project.

And so many other possible tasks commensurate with experience and capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (4 years of related experience can substitute for the degree!)
• More than ten (10) years of related experience required (must be in an I.T. technical role).
• Cybersecurity certification (DoD 8570 IAT II) is required.
• Work‑related experience must be in a System Administration, Engineering, or Integration role. Requires minimum of 1 year of cloud engineering experience.
