Job summary

RSC2, Inc. is seeking a System Engineer Level 2 for Fort Meade, Maryland. The candidate will perform systems engineering functions from concept to deployment, documenting operations, requirements, and test plans.

The role requires evaluating processes to support strategic goals and coordinating with customers and teams to ensure solutions satisfy requirements. Qualified candidates have a TS/SCI with Full-Scope Poly, and a degree in Engineering or a related field with 3–7+ years of relevant

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant technical field with 7+ years experience, or
• Master's degree with 5+ years experience, or
• Doctoral degree with 3+ years experience.
• Degrees must be in Engineering or related field (CS, math, physics) and ABET coursework may be required.

Responsibilities

• Define and document concept of operations, requirements, and use cases for system development.
• High-level system design; specify performance and interface requirements.
• Develop installation, integration, and acceptance test plans.
• Assess and improve existing processes to support strategic and tactical efforts.
• Coordinate with customers and project teams to ensure solutions meet requirements.
• Define and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision for product teams.

RSC2 is currently looking for aSystem Engineer Level 2to join our growing team inFort Meade, Maryland!

Responsibilities:

• Perform systems engineering functions, including defining and documentingconceptof operations, operational/system requirements, and use cases to support system development.
• Performhigh-level system design;specifysystem/component performance and interface requirements.
• Developinstallation, integration, andacceptancetest plans.
• Continuously assess existing organizational processes and work products to ensure they bestfacilitatestrategic and tactical efforts.
• Coordinate with customers, project teams, and related organizations to ensure solutions satisfy the requirements.
• Define and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision for the solutions developed by the product teams.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• TS/SCI with Full-Scope Poly
• Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineeringplus 7 years of relevant experience, or
• Master's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience, or
• Doctoral degree plus 3 years of relevant experience.
• Degree must be in either Engineering or a relevant technical field (i.e.computer science, mathematics, or physics)
• Notes:
• Relevant experience must be in engineering systems over their lifecycle (for example, conception, design & development, testing, production, distribution/deployment, operation, maintenance & support, decommissioning).
• Forallthe above degrees, ifprogramis not ABET accredited, it must include specified coursework.
• Specified coursework includes courses in differential and integral calculus and 5 of the following 18 areas: (a) statics or dynamics, (b) strength of materials/stress-strain relationships, (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics, (d) thermodynamics, (e) electromagnetic fields, (f) nature and properties of materials/relating particle and aggregate structure to properties, (g) solid state electronics, (h) microprocessor applications, (i) computer systems, (j) signal processing, (k) digital design, (l) systems and control theory, (m) circuits or generalized circuits, (n) communication systems, (o) power systems, (p) computer networks, (q) software development, (r) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, or soil mechanics.

Salary at RSC2 isdeterminedbyvarious factorsincluding but not limited to location, theparticular combinationof education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is$97,727 - $229,610(annualized USD). The estimate displayedrepresentsthe typical total compensation range for this position. This position is contingent upon contract award and government funding.
