Job summary

GeoAcuity is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a major Esri-based enterprise GIS deployment. You will implement advanced ArcGIS deployments, analyze and solve technical problems, and optimize performance and organization across customer environments.

You will consult with end users on architecture and integration topics, working closely with customers and partners to deliver mission-ready GIS capability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in a similar position.
• Experience designing, implementing, and/or administering enterprise ArcGIS or other IT systems.
• Broad system administration experience on Windows and/or Linux.
• Familiarity with DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, proxies, load-balancing.
• Experience with at least one RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• US citizenship with Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, GIS, or related STEM field.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure ArcGIS in diverse environments to meet SLAs.
• Plan and migrate content between ArcGIS deployments with varied architectures.
• Troubleshoot advanced ArcGIS deployments across platform components.
• Collaborate with customers to design and certify GIS workflows on ArcGIS.
• Coordinate with internal teams to align objectives with Esri technology.

POSITION SUMMARY

GeoAcuity is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a major Esri-based enterprise GIS deployment. In this role, you will implement advanced ArcGIS deployments, analyze and solve technical problems, and optimize performance and organization across customer environments. You will consult with end users on advanced enterprise deployment, architecture, and integration topics, working closely with customers and partners to deliver mission-ready GIS capability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Deploy and configure ArcGIS in a wide variety of environments across operating systems, cloud providers, security architectures, customer types, and organizations to meet the customer's service level agreement

Plan and execute the migration of content from one ArcGIS deployment to another, encompassing different architectures, deployment strategies, and software components

Troubleshoot advanced ArcGIS deployments, providing guidance on platform components such as storage, networking, and security

Work closely with customers and partners to identify, design, and certify key GIS workflows for the ArcGIS platform

Collaborate internally to help customer organizations align their technical objectives and business goals with the Esri technology platform

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

8+ years of professional experience in a similar position supporting similar responsibilities

Experience designing, implementing, and/or administering enterprise ArcGIS or other comparable IT systems (desktop, server, and online)

Broad system administration experience on Windows and/or Linux

Familiarity with network concepts and topics (such as domains, directories, DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, proxies, load-balancing)

Experience with at least one RDBMS, including SQL query writing (such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL)

US citizenship with Active or Current (within 2 years of active) Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or related STEM field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or related STEM field

One or more industry-standard IT certifications (such as Esri, Microsoft, Amazon)

CompTIA Security+ certification

Experience with Esri software including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, Portal for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Runtime and their associated APIs or interfaces

Cloud-based system operations (SysOps) experience
