Job description

CoAspire is a cutting-edge defense manufacturing leader in Northern Virginia, specializing in the precision assembly of advanced weapons systems. With over twelve years of a legacy of innovation, we're at the forefront of building reliable, affordable mass weapons that protect and empower our nation’s warfighters. Our tight-knit team thrives in a collaborative environment where safety, quality, and work-life balance come first with a focus on professional growth at our new 27,000+ sq. ft. facility. Join us to make a tangible impact on mission-critical technology while enjoying Northern Virginia's vibrant community.

What you will do:
  • You will serve as a key analytical and sustainment engineering resource supporting the development, integration, fielding, and long-term sustainment of aerospace weapons systems (missiles, launchers, and related subsystems). You will drive supportability, reliability, maintainability, and life-cycle affordability by performing Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), influencing design for supportability, and developing executable product support strategies. You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering, program management, and customer teams in a fast-paced DoW contractor environment.
  • Perform and maintain LSA and develop Logistics Product Data (including LSAR data per GEIA-STD-0007 / SAE standards) to define support concepts, maintenance tasks, and resource requirements across the system life cycle.
  • Conduct or lead Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), spares modeling/forecasting, provisioning analysis, and support resource optimization.
  • Perform or support Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analyses, including FMECA, to identify failure modes and drive supportability improvements.
  • Develop and influence sustainment strategies, life-cycle cost (LCC) models, operations & support (O&S) cost analyses, and affordability assessments to support program decisions from concept through depot sustainment.
  • Collaborate with design engineering teams to integrate supportability requirements early in the design process (design for supportability / Design for Sustainment) and participate in design reviews as required.
  • Define and support requirements for peculiar support equipment (PSE), ground support equipment (GSE), handling equipment, transportation, and storage solutions specific to weapons systems.
  • Develop or review maintenance concepts, technical documentation (technical manuals, IETMs), training products, and maintenance task analyses.
  • Review and analyze field, depot, and test data to validate support models, identify improvement opportunities, and support reliability growth and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare technical reports, analysis summaries, trade studies, and presentations for internal leadership and external DoW stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior logistics and sustainment engineers and contribute to process improvements in Product Support Analysis and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) practices.
Location:

Fairfax or Manassas, VA

Basic Qualifications:
  • 8 years or more of experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), Product Support Analysis, or sustainment engineering for complex aerospace or defense systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Demonstrated experience performing LORA, spares analysis, FMECA/RAM analyses, and logistics modeling.
  • Strong understanding of supportability principles, maintenance task analysis, provisioning, and life-cycle logistics for complex weapon systems.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical data packages, and DoD/aerospace standards.
  • Proficiency with logistics analysis methods and tools, with strong fundamentals in classical analysis techniques.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 15 years or more of relevant experience, with direct experience on missile systems, guided munitions, solid rocket motors, or similar weapons platforms.
  • Master’s degree in a related engineering or logistics field.
  • Experience developing or influencing support equipment (GSE/handling/transportation) requirements for weapons systems.
  • Experience with life-cycle cost modeling, affordability analysis, and sustainment strategy development.
  • Familiarity with current DoD Product Support practices (SAE TA-STD-0017), GEIA-STD-0007 Logistics Product Data, and legacy MIL-STD-1388 processes.
  • Experience with depot-level sustainment, refurbishment, or Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) / Performance-Based Logistics (PBL) programs.
  • Proficiency with logistics/RAM analysis tools (e.g., ReliaSoft suite, specialized LSA software such as OmegaPS/SLICwave or equivalent, or custom modeling in Excel/Python/MATLAB).
What We Offer:

Beyond competitive pay, we offer:

  • Full benefits from day one: medical, dental and vision
  • 401(k) with generous company match and immediate vesting
