Job summary

Frazier & Deeter is seeking a System Engineer to maintain and enhance our hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premises and cloud environments. You will work across VMware vSphere, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Intune to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable systems.

You’ll collaborate with Technology Operations, Security, Support, and business stakeholders to drive automation, modernization, and mergers & acquisitions support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, MIS, or related field.
• 3–7 years of enterprise systems administration or engineering.
• Deep experience with VMware vSphere administration.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Active Directory, and Windows Server.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support VMware vSphere environments, including host configuration, clustering, storage, and lifecycle management.
• Administer Microsoft 365 technologies (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) and Entra ID/Intune.
• Manage hybrid identity and access management (AD, authentication, access controls, security policies).
• Support infrastructure integration, migration, and standardization for growth and M&A activity.
• Manage enterprise storage, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Collaborate with Security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and strengthen configurations.
• Develop PowerShell automation to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Support Azure, AWS, and other cloud technologies in a hybrid setup.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and perform root-cause analyses across systems.

Job Summary:

As a System Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the infrastructure that powers our growing global organization. You’ll work across on-premises and cloud environments, supporting core technologies including VMware, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.

In this hands-on role, you’ll partner with Technology Operations, Security, Support, and business stakeholders to ensure our systems remain secure, reliable, and scalable. You’ll also contribute to infrastructure integration and modernization initiatives that support the firm’s continued growth, including merger and acquisition activity. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage and support VMware vSphere environments, including host configuration, clustering, storage management, performance optimization, and lifecycle management
• Administer Microsoft 365 technologies, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Microsoft Entra ID, and Intune
• Manage hybrid identity and access management environments, including Active Directory, authentication, access controls, and security policies
• Support infrastructure integration, migration, and standardization initiatives related to firm growth and merger and acquisition activity
• Manage enterprise storage, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
• Partner with Security teams to remediate vulnerabilities, strengthen system configurations, and support compliance initiatives
• Develop and maintain PowerShell automation and other tools to improve operational efficiency and scalability
• Support Microsoft Azure, AWS, and other cloud technologies within a hybrid infrastructure environment
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis across systems and platforms
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable technology solutions

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
• 3-7 years of progressive systems administration or systems engineering experience in an enterprise environment
• Deep experience with VMware vSphere administration and infrastructure management
• Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Active Directory, and Windows Server environments
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation experience

Experience supporting complex hybrid environments with significant on-premises infrastructure and cloud technologies

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, security best practices, storage, backup, and disaster recovery technologies
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, project management, and communication skills
• Experience with VDI technologies, enterprise storage platforms, or infrastructure integration projects is a plus
