Qualifications

  • Eight years of experience in facilities operations or similar.
  • Five years' leadership experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Technology or related field.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Ability to plan, delegate, motivate, coordinate, manage, direct, mentor, and communicate with people to create a dedicated team.
  • Proficiency with building systems: fire protection, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, BMS, pneumatic control, air distribution, boilers.
  • Ability to develop and manage annual budget and estimate work required.
  • Aptitude for collecting, analyzing and utilizing data for decision-making.
  • Ability to read blueprints, plans, and technical information.
  • CFHM certification required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee 24-hour operations for healthcare, research and education facilities across the enterprise.
  • Lead facilities operations and maintenance for main campus, satellite locations and off-site sites.
  • Guide construction and project management activities and performance improvement projects.
  • Manage budgeting, resources and regulatory readiness across the system.
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors, with compliance with CMS and Joint Commission.

In addition, the incumbent will provide assistance, as needed, with construction and project management services for the before mentioned buildings, as well as participate in performance improvement projects at the discretion of administration. The duties shall include but are not limited to providing direct management support to facilities operations & maintenance to meet current and proactive strategic goals of the facilities. The incumbent will serve as main point of contact for department as needed. Operations and maintenance include all HVAC, electrical, grounds, life safety systems, plumbing, and lighting. The Director will maintain and support all Facilities Operations for all CMS, Joint Commission accreditation, and State agencies.
