Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Arlington, VA is seeking a software engineer to operate and improve ASBX services across isolated regions and air-gapped environments.

You will work on deployment automation, testing infrastructure, and configuration management to enable Amazon builders at scale. The ideal candidate has strong Linux, networking, and software development experience, with a passion for solving complex distributed systems challenges and driving cross-partition parity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional).
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable ASBX services across isolated regions.
• Troubleshoot deployment pipelines and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve builder experience.
• Own end-to-end deployment parity across partitions.
