Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a System Design Engineer in the Graphics Product Team to develop GPU/CPU/SoC based products for GPUs, Datacenters, automotive, robotics, and consumer electronics. You will work with HW/SW engineers to define system architecture, bring-up, validation, and release readiness.

The role requires a B.S. in EE, 3+ years of experience, and strong debugging skills. Equity and benefits are provided; salary varies by level and location in Santa Clara, CA.

Qualifications

• B.S in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of proven experience.
• Strong technical EE and hardware system design fundamentals and experience.
• Strong analytical skills including experience in PCB and system design and review.
• Hands-on bring-up experience, with the ability to lead and drive bring-up efforts independently.
• Strong board-level and system-level debugging skills, with the ability to guide the validation team through issue investigation and resolution during validation.
• Strong experience with using lab tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
• Flexible, team-oriented attitude, able to adapt to dynamic engineering environment.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build system hardware products around GPU, CPU & Tegra SoC.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team to balance cost, performance, and schedule under the guidance of system architects and product architects.
• Drive initial bringup and test, lead the debug efforts.
• Create schematic, supervise PCB layout and system validation.
• Handle documentation required to release the product to manufactures and partners.
• Optimize/invent circuits, functions for better performance, and lower cost.
• Improve the design flow together with the infrastructure team.
