Job summary

Averro is seeking a System Design Engineer for our client in the Nuclear Industry to design nuclear and industrial systems from requirements through final design. You will oversee vendors developing mechanical system components for the Natrium reactor and coordinate analyses such as thermal, seismic, and pipe stress.

You will integrate results into plant design delivery and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical, Chemical, or related discipline with 4+ years experience.
• Experience with high temperature and multi-discipline integration.
• Experience with nuclear chemical process systems, fluid systems, or fluid system components.
• Strong aptitude in chemistry, fluid and structural analysis, tolerance analysis, and reading engineering drawings.

• Design nuclear and industrial systems from requirements through final design.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a System Design Engineer for our client in the Nuclear Industry! Design of nuclear and industrial systems from requirements through final design. Coordinate the review of analyses, such as thermal, seismic, structural, pipe stress, heat transfer, and other analyses performed by others and integrate the results into plant design delivery.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• B.S. in Mechanical, Chemical, or related discipline from an accredited university and 4+ years direct experience with proven mechanical or chemical systems skills.
• Experience in high temperature and multi-discipline integration highly desired.
• Experience with nuclear chemical process systems, fluid systems or fluid system component design a plus.
• Strong mechanical and/or chemical aptitude with demonstrated experience in chemistry, fluid and structural analysis, tolerance analysis, and the ability to read engineering drawings.
