Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking an accomplished Physician or exceptional PhD Researcher (with a clinical partner) to assume the role of System Chief for the Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine. The System Chief will oversee 85 full- and part-time faculty and 22 voluntary physicians across the Mount Sinai Health System, guiding clinical, teaching, and research programs.

Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD with eligibility for New York medical licensure.
• Board certified or eligible in Infectious Diseases.
• Demonstrated leadership in academic medicine or clinical practice.
• National recognition in clinical, translational, or basic research.
• Ability to develop and execute a vision for the division across sites.

Responsibilities

• Overall management of the System Division of Infectious Diseases across the Mount Sinai Health System (on-campus sites and off-campus ambulatory sites).
• Oversee teaching for medical students, postdoctoral trainees, and CME; develop a core curriculum.
