Job summary

SHINE Systems seeks a Senior-Level Systems Architect to provide technical leadership and guide mid- and junior-level architects in designing complex solutions. The role covers API design, data/platform/cloud/infrastructure services with traceability to Enterprise Architecture and requirements. Location is on-site in Chantilly or Springfield, VA.

Requires 12+ years’ senior-level government/industry experience, DoDAF, IC PAG, and TS/SCI eligibility. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or a related STEM degree program (or equivalent senior-level experience)
• 12+ years' of relevant, Senior-level working experience in government or industry
• TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or a related STEM degree (desired)
• Working knowledge of MBSE processes, tools, and languages (desired)
• Federated Enterprise Architect certification (desired)
• Knowledge of GEOINT collections and data workflows (desired)
• Knowledge of imagery products and standards (desired)
• SAFe knowledge and SDLC experience (desired)
• Experience across full SDLC from requirements to deployment (desired)

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to architects in design, development, maintenance, and documentation of solution architectures
• Guide analysis of user requirements to identify opportunities to automate or improve existing systems

SHINE Systems is seeking a Senior-Level Systems Architect to provide technical leadership and guidance to Mid-Level and Junior-Level Systems Architects in the design and development of solutions for complex application problems.

This role will support API design, data services, platform services, cloud services, and infrastructure services, ensuring solutions meet user requirements, align with strategic goals, and maintain traceability to the Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to Mid-Level and Junior-Level Systems Architects in the design, development, maintenance, and documentation of solution architectures, ensuring traceability to the Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise requirements.
• Guide the analysis of user requirements, procedures, and problems to identify opportunities to automate or improve existing systems.
• Evaluate computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to inform architecture and solution design.
• Guide Mid-Level and Junior-Level Systems Architects in developing proposed changes to solution architecture designs based on analysis of requirements and emerging technologies.

Location: This position is fully onsite in either Chantilly or Springfield, VA.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM degree program, or equivalent senior-level experience as a Systems Architect.
  • 12 years' of relevant working experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 12+ years' of relevant, Senior-level working experience in government or industry in relevant areas, including:
  • Enterprise Architecture
  • Solution Architecture
  • Data Architecture
  • Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
  • Intelligence Community’s (IC) Program Architecture Guidance (PAG)
• TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly.

Desired:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM degree program.
• Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, tools, and languages.
• Federated Enterprise Architect certification, such as Certified Enterprise Architect.
• Working knowledge of the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).
• Knowledge of GEOINT collections (e.g., GIMS) and data management (e.g., NCL) workflows and systems.
• Knowledge of imagery products and associated standards.
• Working knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Experience across the systems development life cycle (SDLC), from requirements analysis through testing and deployment.

Compensation:

$130,000 per year
