Job summary

Salmon Group is seeking a Systems Analyst in Accounting & Core Engineering to translate financial processes into actionable specs for development teams. You will reverse-engineer gaps, drive end-to-end implementation, and align finance, product, and engineering while ensuring proper testing and release controls.

Remote role with Manila-time core hours, globally distributed and hybrid-friendly. You will work on GL structure, postings, fees, and product accounting to support the platform across

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years as a System or Business Analyst with financial systems experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, including the general ledger
• Proven decomposition and system analysis skills mapping complex processes
• Experience coordinating requirements across multiple teams and stakeholders
• Working knowledge of APIs, queues, and data exchange patterns; read logs and analyze data
• English at least B2 level

Responsibilities

• Translate financial processes (GL, postings, fees, product rules) into technical specs for development teams
• Reverse-engineer existing solutions to identify gaps and document undocumented aspects
• Lead implementation from spec to production with testing, acceptance, and release control with finance, product, and IT
• Create requirements and specs for accounting processes written as actionable user stories
• Define posting logic, GL structures, and fee mechanics for new and existing products
• Document systems with incomplete documentation and define what needs to change
• Coordinate alignment across finance, product, and engineering to resolve conflicts
• Perform testing and verification through to production release
