Job summary

About the role:

You’ll bring structure and automation to Salmon’s financial data - strengthening financial models, data quality, and reporting across the business.

What you’ll do:

Work with large volumes of real financial data across multiple sources, sitting at the intersection of finance, data, and technology. Partner with accounting, financial controlling, and senior stakeholders to keep financial data accurate and decision-ready. Use SQL and Python daily to solve real business problems, with room to grow into financial analytics automation, data engineering, and ML.

What you’ll own:

• Maintain and develop financial models, including updates, testing, and optimization.
• Process and validate large volumes of financial data from multiple sources.
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, ensuring data quality and consistency across systems.
• Build and automate data extraction, processing, and validation using SQL and Python.
• Work across DWH and multiple data sources to support financial analytics.
• Collaborate with accounting, financial controlling, and other stakeholders to improve reporting processes.

What makes you a strong fit:

• Strong hands-on SQL and Python skills.
• Experience working with DWH and large datasets.
• Ability to independently investigate data, identify root causes of discrepancies, and validate accuracy.
• Strong English skills - some stakeholders, including the CFO, are based internationally.
