Job summary

Lumentis is a global designer and manufacturer of automotive lighting systems. This IT role under the IT Manager provides systems analysis, application support, and technical support for office and manufacturing systems.

You will manage Windows and Linux environments, AD, SharePoint, and ERP accounts, while collaborating with vendors on upgrades and maintaining security, access control, and documentation.

Overview of the Role

Under the direction of the IT Manager, this position provides systems analysis, application support, and technical support for office and manufacturing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Support all plant systems to help maintain smooth production without interruption.
• Support of all hardware and software used by the various functional groups at the division.
• Respond to incoming calls, pages, and/or e-mails during office and production hours.
• Carry out job duties and responsibilities in a work environment that may include, but is not limited to, varying levels of noise and/or temperature.
• Work with vendors to support system upgrades and resolve software issues.Ensure all upgrades are tested and documented appropriately.
• Obtain competitive quotes and purchase all Information Technology equipment.
• Maintain hardware and software licensing inventory.
• Maintain and monitor all computer, network and ERP accounts ensuring accurate access rights are maintained and approved.
• Support and maintain building access, camera, and security systems.
• Maintain Contingency and Disaster Recovery Plans, including regular testing as specified.Ensure complete and up-to-date documentation is kept.
• Recommend, schedule, and perform hardware and peripheral equipment improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
• Carry out other such duties as may be assigned or requested.

Education & Experience:

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Computer Studies/Information Systems, or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.Previous manufacturing support experience is preferred.
• Certifications in A+ or an MCSE.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Administration of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Administration of Active Directory, both On-Prem and Azure.
• Administration of SharePoint and Office 365.
• Working knowledge of virtual machine environments, (VMware, Azure Local, Hyper-V).
• Working knowledge of database structures and database administration.
• Advanced knowledge of networking technologies (LAN, WAN, WLAN, SAN). CCNA Certification is a plus.
• Demonstrated understanding of EDI concepts in a manufacturing environment with experience in EDI specifications, communication methods and administration.
• Experience within a client server ERP environment.Trans4M would be an asset.
• Knowledge of production systems, PLCs, torque controllers, scanners, and mobile devices.
• Establish procedures and documentation to support compliance with various audit standards (TISAX, IATF).
• Willing and able to travel on short notice if required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, demonstrated project management skills.
• Attend authorized training to develop and/or maintain relevant job-related knowledge, techniques, skills, and/or certifications.
• Perform, direct and/or carry out any reasonable assignments required by Management
