About the Role

The Network Administrator (Systems Administrator) will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and cybersecurity protection of all Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN) client and server systems that support enterprise-wide modeling and simulation applications and services for the Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE). The candidate will collaborate closely with teammates and cross‑functional departments to update, monitor, and maintain servers and workstations across the enterprise.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Microsoft Windows Server administration, manage GPOs, create/modify DHCP reservations, patching, STIG compliance, and author standard operating procedures.
  • Provide Tier 2 technical support and maintain smooth operation of multi‑user computer systems, coordinating with network administrators.
  • Set up administrator and service accounts, maintain system documentation, tune performance, install system‑wide software and allocate mass storage.
  • Interact with users, evaluate vendor products, and recommend hardware/software purchases.
  • Develop and monitor policies and standards related to the use of computing resources.
Requirements
  • Six years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or four years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree; or a high‑school diploma or equivalent with ten years of experience.
  • Security+ or equivalent certification.
  • Secret Security Clearance.
  • Experience with Microsoft WSUS or SCCM.
  • Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019 and Active Directory.
  • Experience with Windows desktop operating systems (Win10 SHB).
  • Experience digesting and implementing DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).
  • Experience with patching Microsoft servers and workstations.
  • Experience with VMware.
  • Familiarity with VDI technologies and protocols.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues across multiple systems.
  • Strong customer focus; ability to manage customer needs and multiple work priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Bonus Points
  • Server‑focused experience.
  • Linux+ or additional Microsoft certification.
  • Experience installing release upgrades.
Physical Requirements

Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity to meet the requirements of the Systems Analyst discipline.
