Ctrl+LLC seeks a System Administrator (Level 2) in Annapolis Junction, MD to join a Linux-first team responsible for infrastructure, security, and compliance. You will manage containers and cloud services, storage, and virtualization in a fast-paced environment and contribute to secure, reliable operations.

The role requires 10 years in a technical field with a STEM degree, deep Linux expertise, and hands-on work with Docker/Kubernetes, AWS/Azure, and automation tools.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in a relevant technical role with a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
• Strong experience with Linux system administration
• Hands-on experience with containers and cloud platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure)
• Proficiency in storage management and virtualization technologies
• Knowledge of IP networking, routing, and firewall management
• Understanding PKI/TLS/cryptography and security policy implementation
• Experience supporting SSP compliance frameworks and STE/STN processes on Linux
• Bonus: automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Bash scripting)

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you'll be at the heart of our infrastructure operations, tackling meaningful technical challenges every day. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Managing and supporting container and cloud environments - keeping modern infrastructure running smoothly
• Overseeing storage management solutions to ensure reliability and performance
• Supporting and maintaining virtualization platforms across the environment
• Administering IP networking and firewall configurations to maintain secure, stable connectivity
• Working extensively in an all-Linux environment - this is your playground
• Applying a solid understanding of PKI, TLS, cryptography, and crypto policies to uphold security standards
• Providing application support and general troubleshooting to keep systems and users running efficiently
• Supporting SSP compliance and STE/STN requirements on Linux systems - your attention to detail will be valued here
