About the Role

Join Raytheon's Digital Technology organization as a Jr. System Administrator (Analyst, Information Workplace Services). Support critical programs with classified information systems by developing, implementing, and maintaining secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Collaborate with teams to define computing requirements and create solutions for complex IT infrastructure challenges.

Responsibilities

1. Provide system administration in Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux environments.
2. Work collaboratively in a fast-paced technological environment.
3. Resolve technical problems involving hardware and operating systems.
4. Coordinate with cybersecurity professionals to ensure security compliance.
5. Document processes and provide training on advanced IT procedures.
6. Obtain DoD Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification (e.g., Security+) within 6 months of hire.
7. Support operational systems 24/7, with occasional after-hours work and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree typically required.
• Active U.S. government security clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience with Windows or Linux operating systems.
• Experience with patching and security hardening.
• Troubleshooting skills for PCs and servers.
• Ability to develop solutions and document technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Linux, VMWare, Splunk, Tenable Nessus, scripting.
• Security hardening expertise.
• Experience with NetApp storage and backup technologies.

Compensation and Benefits
