Job description

We are seeking a skilled Applications Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team. This role will configure, maintain, and optimize our work management platforms, Jira and Smartsheet, to support organizational workflows and project management needs. This role involves managing user access, troubleshooting system issues, and implementing customizations to enhance productivity and ensure seamless team collaboration.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the configuration and customization of work management platforms to meet business requirements.
  2. Manage application user access with a focus on role-based permissions and security.
  3. Oversee data imports, cleansing, and de-duplication to ensure data integrity.
  4. Implement data validation rules and automation to streamline business processes.
  5. Build and manage workflow and validation rules, and process automation.
  6. Develop custom reports and dashboards to track key performance metrics.
  7. Ensure that Application best practices are implemented and that high data quality and security standards are maintained.
  8. Create and maintain clear, concise, and comprehensive "how-to" guides for Jira and SmartSheet.
  9. Update documentation regularly to reflect changes in workflows, tools, and best practices.
  10. Provide visual aids, including screenshots or video tutorials, to enhance understanding.
  11. Develop standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for tool usage.
  12. Act as the point of contact for Jira and SmartSheet-related queries and troubleshooting.
  13. Regularly collect and incorporate user feedback to improve tool usage.
Required Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
  2. Minimum of 4 years of experience administering work management platforms such as Jira & Smartsheets.
  3. Jira Administration for Cloud and Managing Jira Projects for Cloud certifications required.
  4. Smartsheet Core Product, System Administrator, and Project Management certifications required.
  5. Demonstrated strong analytical/problem-solving skills and ability to follow procedures.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Strong familiarity with agile software development practices and tools.
  8. Solution-oriented with a high sense of quality, attention to detail, accuracy, efficiency, and meeting tight deadlines.
  9. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Experience working in Agile development environments required.
  11. Strong understanding of Jira workflows, schemes, custom fields, permissions, and notification configurations.
  12. Experience with scripting and automation using tools like Jira Automation or REST APIs.
  13. Familiarity with integrating Jira with other tools (e.g., Confluence, Bitbucket, CI/CD systems).
  14. Proficiency in system administration, including updates, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  15. Proficiency in configuring Smartsheet solutions, including forms, workflows, reports, dashboards, and templates.
  16. Expertise in automating processes using Smartsheet’s Automation Rules and integrations with third-party tools.
  17. Knowledge of APIs and integrations to connect Smartsheet with other enterprise systems (e.g., Salesforce, Jira, or Microsoft Teams).
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
  2. Excellent communicator with strong partner management skills.
  3. Capable of working with a mix of in-person, remote, and offshore team members.
  4. Ability to work across several lines of business to achieve long-term organizational goals.
  5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present non-technical details to a technical audience.
  6. Experience with Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets, Google Slides), Slack, Trello, Miro, and other business tools software as needed.
  7. Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

What we offer:

Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a 401(k) plan, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs. The gross salary range for this role is $94,000 - $129,000. This role is eligible to earn an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
