Job summary

Abacus Technology Corporation is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide Big IP F5 support for the Air Force Intranet Control (AFINC) III Support program at Maxwell AFB/Gunter Annex. This is a full-time position.

The role involves operating, maintaining, and monitoring F5 appliances, managing SSL certificates, and configuring authentication, PKI, and load balancing. Candidates need 3+ years of Big IP F5 experience, Security+ or IAT II, and US citizenship with a current Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.

Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide Big IP F5 support for the Air Force Intranet Control (AFINC) III Support program at Maxwell AFB/Gunter Annex. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, monitor F5 appliances, configurations, identify BIG‐IP Traffic Processing Objects, and analyze overall health and effectiveness of multiple Big IP F5 instances.
• Manage application integration designs around application logic and authentication configuration (session management, application redirects, rewrites, migration scenarios, app routing, CAC/PIV authentication).
• Support, troubleshoot and configure SSL intercept/inspection, web certificates, certificate management, PKI Certificate Authority (CA) bundles, private/public keys.
• Install, configure, and administer Big IP F5 Platform Suite referencing Web Applications with Local Traffic Manager (LTM) and Access Policy Manger (APM) services.
• Install and patch Big IP F5 systems, and document DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs) checklists.
• Design and administrator load balancing strategies/ techniques, in application switching / traffic management, knowledge of persistence and SSL certificates.
• Create and maintain documentation detailing architecture components, configurations, monitoring & alerting setup, troubleshooting guides, and checklists.

Qualifications

3+ years experience with Big IP F5 products. HS diploma or GED. Must be Security+ certified or hold an equivalent IAT II certification. Must hold one of the following certifications or be able to obtain within 90 days of hire: F5 Certified Technology Specialist (F5‑CTS) – Local Traffic Manager (LTM); F5‑CTS – Access Policy Manager (APM); or F5 BIG‑IP Certified Administrator. Experience with Big IP F5 products performing systems administration, including installations, configurations, monitoring system performance and availability, upgrades, troubleshooting, and certificate management. Excellent communication skills and analytical skills to troubleshoot issues. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
