Job summary

DAn Solutions is seeking an experienced F5 Systems Engineer to secure enterprise network infrastructure for a government client. This role focuses on traffic management, application delivery, system availability, and the engineering and administration of F5 technologies across multiple data centers.

Ideal candidates will hold an active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph and DoD 8570 IAT II certification, with hands-on F5 experience and strong networking knowledge.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph is required.
• DoD 8570 IAT II certification compliance.
• Experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of F5 technologies, including LTM and modules.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, SDN, 802.1X.
• Experience with DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and NTP in large, multi-site environments.
• Understanding of enterprise storage, virtualization, data center migration, and disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of security controls and compliance requirements.
• Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation.

Position Overview

This role focuses on traffic management, application delivery, system availability, and the engineering and administration of F5 technologies across multiple data centers.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, administer, and troubleshoot physical and virtual F5 appliances across multiple data centers.

• Design, deploy, and maintain F5 solutions, including Local Traffic Manager (LTM), Application Security Manager (ASM), BIG-IQ, and Access Policy Manager (APM).

• Support global traffic management and advanced traffic management capabilities.

• Develop technical requirements, system documentation, and operating procedures.

• Monitor and troubleshoot network security infrastructure, connectivity, and platform performance.

• Recommend and implement improvements to system reliability, security, and performance.

• Test new software releases, upgrades, and platform features.

• Perform capacity planning and configuration optimization.

• Collaborate with networking, infrastructure, virtualization, and security teams.

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.

• Strong knowledge of F5 technologies, including LTM and related modules.

• Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, SDN, and 802.1X.

• Experience with DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and NTP in large, multi-site environments.

• Understanding of enterprise storage, virtualization, networking, data center migration, and disaster recovery.

• Knowledge of security controls and compliance requirements.

• Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation.

Certification Requirements

• F5 Certified Administrator certification, or ability to obtain it within three months of hire.

• One targeted F5 module certification (LTM, DNS, ASM, or APM) within an additional 90 days.

• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security, as specified in the position requirements.

Ideal Candidate

An experienced F5 engineer with strong hands‑on enterprise traffic management, network troubleshooting, application delivery, and secure infrastructure experience.

Salary Range Disclaimer: The posted salary range represents the good‑faith minimum and maximum compensation DAn Solutions expects to pay for this position. The position may be filled at different Labor Category (LCAT) levels depending on the selected candidate's qualifications and applicable contract requirements. Final compensation within the posted range will be determined based on the applicable LCAT and factors including education, relevant experience, certifications, and other required qualifications.
