Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on systems administration experience in a professional environment.
• Generalist skills across identity, endpoints, SaaS platforms, networking, and scripting/automation.
• Deep IAM experience: SSO, MFA, directory services, RBAC, and user lifecycle management.
• Experience integrating applications via SAML, OIDC, and SCIM.
• Scripting ability (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to automate tasks.
• Strong troubleshooting instincts and independent work style.
• Clear written and verbal communication for non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work on-site full-time in downtown Austin, TX.
• Okta subject matter expertise; Okta certification preferred.
• Experience with Okta Workflows or identity automation tooling.
• Jamf Pro experience for macOS is a nice-to-have.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune administration.
• Familiarity with SOC 2 or ISO 27001 controls.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize IAM stack; specialize in SSO, MFA, provisioning/deprovisioning, and access governance.
• Own Okta environment end-to-end: integrations (SAML/OIDC/SCIM), workflows, policy config, lifecycle management.
• Design and maintain joiner/mover/leaver processes for auditable access.
• Manage and support endpoint fleets (macOS/Windows): patching, config, security baselines.
• Support day-to-day IT operations: SaaS admin, escalations, hardware provisioning, user support.
• Partner with Security and Compliance on access reviews and least-privilege controls.
• Document systems, processes, and runbooks to avoid knowledge silos.
• Evaluate and implement tools that improve reliability, security, and user experience.
• Promote open, respectful communication within team and across org.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Job

We're seeking a versatile, hands‑on Systems Administrator to serve as the primary owner of our Identity and Access Management (IAM) program while supporting a broad range of enterprise infrastructure initiatives. This role is responsible for authentication, authorization, access governance, identity lifecycle management, and identity automation across the organization, ensuring employees have secure and reliable access to the systems they need to succeed.

In addition to IAM ownership, this position plays a key role in supporting endpoint management, SaaS platforms, and day‑to‑day IT operations. Success in this role requires a strong technical foundation, a proactive mindset, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment where priorities and challenges can vary from day to day. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable designing and administering identity solutions, automating processes, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and partnering with cross‑functional teams to enhance security, reliability, and the overall employee experience.

This position is fully onsite at our downtown Austin, Texas office.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize our Identity and Access Management stack, serving as the subject matter expert for SSO, MFA, provisioning/deprovisioning, and access governance

• Evaluate and implement new tools and integrations that improve reliability, security, and the employee experience
• Foster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team as well as with co‑workers/ teammates and leaders across the organization

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands‑on systems administration experience in a professional environment

• Deep, practical Identity and Access Management experience: SSO, MFA, directory services, RBAC, and user lifecycle management
• Experience integrating applications via SAML, OIDC, and SCIM
• Scripting ability (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, or Python) to automate routine tasks
• Strong troubleshooting instincts and the ability to work independently across an ambiguous, varied workload
• Clear written and verbal communication — you can explain technical decisions to non‑technical stakeholders
• Ability to work on‑site full‑time in downtown Austin, TX
• Preferred Okta subject matter expertise — Okta Certified Professional or Administrator certification strongly preferred
• Experience with Okta Workflows or other identity automation tooling
• Jamf Pro experience for macOS device management (nice to have)
• Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune administration experience
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001

Reports To Director, IT Location On Site Travel Minimal travel between data centers may be required as needed.

Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work

This is a full‑time, onsite position. General hours and days of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some nights and weekends may be required.
