Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a System Administrator I to monitor and improve system hardware, network, and infrastructure software performance. You will manage access, ensure high availability, and support security across the organization’s digital environment.

Responsibilities include assisting users, maintaining network stability and server uptime, researching improvements, and designing scalable on-prem and VOIP solutions. Ongoing education is encouraged, with growth opportunities within IT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 1–3 years experience with servers and networking.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Experience with VOIP and on-prem systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice to users to resolve complex queries and escalate as needed.
• Prioritize workflow to maintain network stability and server uptime.
• Research and suggest improvements to the website, portal, software, and infrastructure.
• Design storage, data center, network, and client/server environments.
• Support security measures such as firewalls, encryption, and VPNs.
• Develop capabilities through ongoing education and specialist learning.
• Provide fault isolation and propose resolutions for approval by seniors.
• Access technical information and contribute to the knowledge base.
• Review tasks and identify infrastructure improvements.
