Job summary

Goldbelt C6 seeks a System Administrator Engineering SME I to support the U.S. Coast Guard Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) Engineering team. The role requires extensive Windows/CISCO administration, security tooling, and access management to uphold CG policy and standards.

Ideal candidates will have 4+ years in Windows server/client environments, CCNA Security or Routing & Switching, Security+ or IAT II, and an active Secret clearance. Preference for a Bachelor’s degree and Tower qualifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or related experience.
• CompTIA Server+ Certification.
• CCNA Security or Routing & Switching certification.
• Security+ / IAT Level II certification.
• CG PUMP qualified.
• Four (4) years of system administrator experience with Windows OS and databases; CISCO switches and Firewalls.
• Five (5) years experience with networks/devices including TERMA radar, Furuno radar, Zetron VHF, RedBox, FLIR VMS, Cambium, CISCO, AIS, INVS, SCCCS, PAWSS.
• Active Secret clearance.

Summary

We are looking for a System Administrator Engineering SME I to support the U.S. Coast Guard Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) Engineering team.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

• Integrate, configure, optimize, and troubleshoot computers, routers, switches, servers, databases, firewalls, and associated network equipment including Windows operating system, CISCO operating system, IGRP/EIGRP and OSPF routing protocols and associated firmware, software and hardware.


• Provide system administration and technical support to manage access and authentication services on each system, including the issuance, suspension, revocation, and deletion of credentials.


• Administer access and authentication services in accordance with CG policy, Cyber, and Industry Standards.


• Provide system administration and technical support for all VTS systems with the ability to troubleshoot and engineer new processes.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge

• Familiar with industry standard LAN and WAN policies and procedures.


• Working knowledge of network security and how it is implemented in the Coast Guard.


• Working knowledge of networking administrative tools.


• Trained in latest CISCO network security and administrative tools.


• Knowledgeable with ACAS and Nessus scanning and STIG/SCAP tools.


• Knowledgeable with DAMEWare, SecureCRT, Powershell, command-line interface (CLI) in Windows and UNIXs scripting/CLI as applicable to support VTS projects and applications.


• Excellent communication and time management skills


• Experienced with the Microsoft Office Suite products Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or related experience


• CompTIA Server+ Certification


• CISCO Certified Networking Associated (CCNA) in Security or Routing and Switching


• Security+ / IAT Level II certification. IAT Levels are defined in US COMDTINST M5500.13


• CG PUMP qualified


• Four (4) years of system administrator experience with current Windows Operating Systems to include Windows client and server environments to include database servers. Must have a working knowledge of maintaining CISCO switches and Firewalls.


• Five (5) years experience developing, optimizing, and supporting the network for the below devices or similar:

Pay and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000.
