Job summary

Goldbelt C6, LLC is seeking a System Administrator Engineering SME I to support the U.S. Coast Guard Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) Engineering team.

The role encompasses configuring and maintaining complex networked systems, access controls, and security posture for critical Coast Guard platforms. The candidate will work on CISCO-based networks, firewall policies, and system administration tasks while ensuring compliance with CG policies and cybersecurity standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or related experience.
• CompTIA Server+ certification.
• CCNA Security or Routing & Switching.
• Security+ / IAT Level II certification.
• CG PUMP qualification.
• 5 years managing networks/devices listed in the ad.

Responsibilities

• Integrate, configure, optimize, and troubleshoot computers, routers, switches, servers, databases, firewalls, and related network equipment.
• Provide system administration and support for access/authentication services.
• Administer access/authentication per CG policy, Cyber, and Industry Standards.
• Support all VTS systems and engineer new processes as needed.

Summary

We are looking for a System Administrator Engineering SME I to support the U.S. Coast Guard Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) Engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Integrate, configure, optimize, and troubleshoot computers, routers, switches, servers, databases, firewalls, and associated network equipment including Windows operating system, CISCO operating system, IGRP/EIGRP and OSPF routing protocols and associated firmware, software and hardware.
• Provide system administration and technical support to manage access and authentication services on each system, including the issuance, suspension, revocation, and deletion of credentials.
• Administer access and authentication services in accordance with CG policy, Cyber, and Industry Standards.
• Provide system administration and technical support for all VTS systems with the ability to troubleshoot and engineer new processes.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge

• Familiar with industry standard LAN and WAN policies and procedures.
• Working knowledge of network security and how it is implemented in the Coast Guard.
• Working knowledge of networking administrative tools.
• Trained in latest CISCO network security and administrative tools.
• Knowledgeable with ACAS and Nessus scanning and STIG/SCAP tools.
• Knowledgeable with DAMEWare, SecureCRT, Powershell, command-line interface (CLI) in Windows and UNIXs scripting/CLI as applicable to support VTS projects and applications.
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Experienced with the Microsoft Office Suite products Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or related experience
• CompTIA Server+ Certification
• CISCO Certified Networking Associated (CCNA) in Security or Routing and Switching
• Security+ / IAT Level II certification. IAT Levels are defined in US COMDTINST M5500.13
• CG PUMP qualified
• Four (4) years of system administrator experience with current Windows Operating Systems to include Windows client and server environments to include database servers. Must have a working knowledge of maintaining CISCO switches and Firewalls.
• Five (5) years experience developing, optimizing, and supporting the network for the below devices or similar:
  • TERMA radar
  • Furuno radar
  • Zetron VHF controller
  • RedBox digital VHF communications recorder
  • FLIR Video Management Systems
  • Cambium Microwave system
  • CISCO routers and switches
  • AIS basestations
  • INVS system
  • SCCCS system
  • PAWSS devices
• Active Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Tower Climber Qualified.
• Certified in Tower Climbing Safety and Rescue.

Pay and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000.
