Job summary

Vets Hired seeks a System Administrator (Associate/Intermediate) to support, secure, and troubleshoot Windows server environments and enterprise IT systems. You will manage Active Directory, MECM, backups, patches, and security compliance while providing solid technical support.

Experience in enterprise infrastructure, vulnerability remediation, and documentation is essential. The role collaborates with cybersecurity and networking teams to strengthen operations.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship with an active Secret Clearance is required (Associate level).
• IAT Level II Certification or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in systems administration, IT support, networking, or cybersecurity (Associate level).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in enterprise IT environments and Windows Server administration (Intermediate level).
• Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Microsoft 365 Teamwork Administrator Associate certification (or obtain within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, and troubleshoot Windows servers, workstations, and enterprise applications.
• Provide technical support for hardware, software, user accounts, and system issues.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, MECM, and enterprise services.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
• Perform routine backups, patch management, and recovery tasks.
• Create and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Support vulnerability remediation and system hardening activities.
• Develop and maintain system documentation and SOPs.
• Collaborate with networking, engineering, and cybersecurity teams.
• Assist with audits, inspections, and cybersecurity compliance.
