Job summary

CompQsoft is seeking a System Administrator for onsite work in Colorado, responsible for setup, configuration, maintenance, and support of Windows/Linux servers and virtual networks. The role requires hands-on experience with VMware ESXi and Cisco CUCM/CMS/PCD/CIMC, with a focus on STIG compliance and secure IT practices.

The ideal candidate will hold IAT Level II certification or equivalent, plus relevant IT certifications, and be prepared for an active DoD Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Microsoft Windows Server and Linux environments
• Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi virtualization
• Familiarity with Cisco VOIP and related platforms (CUCM, CMS, PCD, CIMC)
• Knowledge of STIG compliance and secure operating practices

Job Description:

System Setup & Configuration

• Install and configure software, hardware, and virtual networks
• Set up user accounts and workstations
• Manage network servers and technology tools

Maintenance & Monitoring

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
• Ensure systems run efficiently and securely
• Apply patches and updates to operating systems and applications
• Manage Licenses and CAs

Support & Documentation

• Provide technical support to users and resolve IT-related issues
• Create and maintain internal documentation, manuals, and IT policies
• Train staff on new technologies and system usage
• Understand STIG compliance and implementation.

Requirements

• Strong Knowledge of platforms such as Microsoft Windows Servers, Linux, VMWare, ESXI
• Strong knowledge and background in Cisco virtual machines to include (CUCM, CMS, PCD, CIMC etc.)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; certifications like MCSA or CompTIA Server+ are a plus.
