Description
Support enterprise-level Microsoft server environments to include Microsoft Server 2008 Active Directory with Windows 7 clients, Exchange, WSUS, and/or SCOM technologies.
Provide application/Windows OS installation, configuration, and patching as well as data reporting (application install status, client health, etc.) leveraging Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
Provide technical support by performing installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of PCs and related software.
Troubleshoot software install/configuration failures and provide regular status to the customer. Apply security patches/configuration changes to workstations within restrictions required by the customer.
Team with information assurance to remediate workstation security issues found during routine checks.
Participate in new application and hardware rollouts, testing, and special projects as needed.
Enforce Windows Server Administration standards, policies, and guidelines and implement them as needs are identified.
Maintain continuously updated documentation of key applications in order to facilitate the support and improvement of the platform.
Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain OS and software packages in support of mission requirements; schedule installations/upgrades IAW IT procedures, tune systems to optimize performance, and ensure data recoverability.

Minimum experience of 3-5 years performing System Administration, preferably as part of a government branch.
Experience tracking multiple projects and items.
Experience working with servers and storage devices.
IAT Level II Certification (Security+).
Specialized Experience
MCSA or equivalent certification (or capable of becoming certified within 6 months of hire)
